By basically launching all our nukes at the solar side of Venus, could we blow it into Mars's orbit? No I'm not planning anything, I was just bored and curious (dangerous combination).

cool Question ...I like your attitude ...
anyway , not enough firepower on the planet...remember when Jupiter was struck by Shoemaker-Levi ?
some of those explosions were the size of Earth !
and , yet.....
Seriously ...you would have to overcome an unbelievable amount of rotational momentum and inertia. relatively speaking , a simple concussive force won't do. also ,
a nuclear shockwave needs a medium in which to propigate,
and empy space is just that ... empty.
no big booms , just a flash , and a rather weak - rapidly dissipating wavefront.

better to hit it with somethin'......like a big ,fast, rock !
'figger 1000 - 1500 miles across maybe ?

how's your pitching arm ?

Probably not enough. You have to worry about orbital mechanics. If you blasted Venus with an impulse thrust, the way orbits work is that it would always come back to the place you applied the impulse at. Tod change the orbit you have to apply one thrust to get the high point in the orbit and then once another, another blast to modify the shape of the orbit. Believe me we don't have that kind of firepower

Whatever the firepower is; (in megatons, photon torpedos, or anything else...) wouldn't the planet be completely destroyed if you used the force necessary required to push it out of it's orbit??

It is necessary as much energy as it is the difference between those two levels of orbiting. Approximately.

my gosh NO! We couldn't even move a medium size asteroid with all our nukes. Next time you are board do a little research.!!!!

I thought you were planning something right away and I wanted to get in on it. Oh well..
