well im a food freak. this question kind of confuses me.
when you are cutting chicken or steak for example, you want to go against the grain to get a better cut of it.
if you go along the grain, then the meat will break apart.
so how can i compare this to life?, because in that case i'd have to go against the grain, so my "life" wont break apart.

Go with the grain only if it will make you happy or will be to your benifit. go against only if you know that is the best way.
