Venus is the brightest object in the sky other than the moon, and it usually comes out just as the sun is setting. So likely it is what you are seeing.

those are planets
the only star in the west is the sun at sunset.

It cant be either of those planets the only planet you can see besides the moon and the sun is Mars.
