Who are they to tell anyone how to live their lives?

I almost gagged reading that list. On a more local level I witnessed it for a few years up close and personal working for the catholic church. I was raised a catholic went to catholic school for nine years and spent many a day on my knees praying to some god that is a divine mystery and I should accept that on blind faith. Anyway the pastor of said local church was an obese, indifferent, self-absorbed, unavailable man. I once asked him why there was no rectory on the grounds, it is an extremely large congregation with many elderly people. He told me he didn't want one because people would be bothering him all the time. On a good week he was in his office ten hours and said a few masses. Other than that, he was unavailable and his administrator Sister Sadist De Sade kept it that way, she was the true power there and for those that don't know, nuns are not clergy. I watched her run-off a Vicar and seen her send volunteers out of her office in tears. It was truly something to witness. Anyone telling me how I need to give them money to get to know their god....no thanks.

The real problem religious leaders are the muslim clerics who stir up trouble, teach hate, and tell their followers it is OK to murder people.
