A "lady" would not consider wearing a thong in public, whether at a resort, on a beach or anywhere else.
However, before wearing one, the person wishing to do so should check with local guidelines, but this person is certainly not a "lady"!

There is no county or municipal regulation in this area that forbids wearing a thong while on the beach, so long as you are not actually revealing anything. I have never heard of a rule at Sundestin that forbids wearing one on the beach. However, the resort will probably require you to be "appropriately attired" in most areas, which may mean they will require a wrap or towel going to and from the beach.
Once you are off the beach, local businesses can and will throw you out for wearing a thong, so bring shorts.
