Yes - when they are so dangerous, that society cannot allow the slightest chance that they may escape or otherwise get back into society.

Maybe only if the person killed many many many many people then yes.

I also think that Hitler should have died a thousand deaths so he could feel the pain that he caused other innocent people during the Holocaust.

Other than that death is a strong thing. Once you're gone u can't come back.

there is an old saying----"AN EYE FOR AN EYE AND A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH"..... which ment---you kill someone, you deserve to be killed too....(broad sense of the words)...I believe in the death penalty for cop killings, child killings, MULTIPLE killings by one person, sex crime killings---rape then murder, but I feel the present death penalty system is NOT a deterant to these crimes....obviously or they still wouldn't be getting committed.... If one truly believes in that old saying about an eye for an eye. then a person who commits a crime punishable by death should be PUT to death in the same manner that HE chose to KILL.... if he shoots, then he dies by firing squadl; if he beats someone to death with a baseball bat---that's how HE dies... etc. maybe THEN there would be less murders in this country...
