Why would you say those are deserved?? A President should be elected because they are the best person for the job regardless of race or gender.

Maybe when EVERYONE gets rid of the HYPHENATED crap! Either you're an AMERICAN or you're not. This AFRICAN-, ITALIAN-, IRISH- mess is stupid! What if you're (like a co-worker of mine...I wrote it in my day timer a few weeks ago, that's why I have it all) ITALIAN-GERMAN-BRITISH-ALGERIAN-HUNGARIAN-GREEK-CHIPPEWA? Enough HYPHENS for you?
WOMEN president? WOMEN is plural, PRESIDENT is singular.
If that offends you, GOOD!
By the way, my GRANDPARENTS/PARENTS/UNCLES/AUNT were born in Finland (and I know where..do those "African-Americans" know what part of Africa their relatives come from?) and I was born here. I'm an AMERICAN (not FINNISH-AMERICAN) and my parents, etc considered themselves AMERICANS once they got their citizenship. So much so that my father fought in Germany in the U.S. Army and lost an arm. My twin Uncles joined the U.S. Army and fought for the freedom of the South Koreans. One was KIA, one was MIA..within 2 weeks of each other..and THEY considered themselve AMERICANS.

When pigs fly.

I don't mean to be demeaning or depressing, but there is no honest reason that a woman or even a black woman could not be president, except for antiquated notions about "ability" that cause roadblocks.

"What if she has her period and she PMSs? She could launch the Bomb!"

"Women are far too emotional."

"A pregnant President?!!?"

Until those attitudes are changed, it will be a very long time in coming

Why do you think that would in any way be "much deserved"? Because 200 years ago there was slavery? Because females have XX chromosomes instead of XY chromosomes? I guess I can't grasp your concept.

Much deserved ? Bullsh. .

This isn't a game where everybody gets a turn . I always hope the best candidate wins, regardless of race or gender .

Just where does your ENTITLEMENT thinking come from ?

Let's do both and elect Condaleeza Rice if you insist on defining a person only by race and gender.
