He has not been let go from the Y&R. He resigned a contract for 5 more years along with Sharon Case for 3! The plane crash was done just in case he wasn't coming back, but he is!!!!

Nick (Joshua Morrow) is not leaving the show. The episode was shot when his contract was up for negotiation and the show was unsure if he was going to stay. Joshua renewed his contract for 5 more years.

Hey you need to pick up a copy of CBS soaps in-depth or Soap digest when you're in line at the grocery or convenience store and read it. Joshua Morrow nor Sharon Case is leaving. They both renewed their contracts.
