My whole 1.25 acre yard is my garden!
There's a patio behind the house, enclosed in hedges with a firepit in the middle. There's a 150 foot row of lilacs, Rose Of Sharon bushes, flowering crab trees, and ornamental pear trees. There's about 12 other lilacs, 2 flowering crab, and 2 regular apple trees scattered about.
The whole back & side is ringed by enormous spruce trees, there's a trampoline, and the shady side of the house is lined with hostas, ferns, and bishop's weed.
The front (east) and back (west) of the house have planters filled with annuals every summer.
There's a bed of hostas near the garage, with a bird-feeder in the middle, and morning glories twine their way up it.There's a shrub garden around the flagpole, with bridal wreath spirea & weigela, snow-in-summer, and some daisies.
I've lived here for 20 years, and there wasn't even GRASS at first--I planted every single thing with my own loving hands.
My yard is my private park, and I won't leave until they carry my cold corpse away!
