Fair. And just for those who suggest she will get "pardoned", I wrote the Governor on the subject, and here is the reply:

"Although the Governor's office has not received a formal request for assistance from Ms. Hilton, the Governor generally will not consider intervening in private legal matters. While the Governor does have executive clemency power, Governor Schwarzenegger will exercise his clemency power only in unusual or extraordinary cases and generally after all judicial remedies have been exhausted."

What I'm LAUGHING at is her Mother complaining about how this is wasting the tax-payers money... YET, they file appeals and tie up the courts !!

Wanna save money... take your sentence like a big-girl and stop wasting our time and money./

It's completely fair. Any other citizen would have gotten in just as much or more punishment and the fact that she can't accept responsibility for her horrible and potentially dangerous actions is just sickening. She's actually calling in another movie star (Arnold Schwarzenegger) to help get her out of jail. Dont drink and drive in the first place! you have enough money to hire a driver! don't be irresponsible paris! i used to like her too....

I think it is fair. Paris is not above the law juss because she is a celebrity. When is driving and drinking she is putting someone Else's life in danger. If it was any ordinary the punishment would be the same. It is about time the court systems put celebrities in their places.

I think it was fair, I think she should of got more than just 45 days. The girl runs around acting like she's inferior and it's not right. Just because she has money does not mean that she can over look rules and laws. I think it will be unfair if she gets out of it. I wish she'd do prison time just to prove that celebrities can't over rule the law.

It was very fair. You do the crime, you do the time. Just because she's Paris Hilton doesn't mean she gets off easy. She's human and breaks rules, just like the rest of us and she's lucky she's getting a cell or room or whatever, all to herself.

Yes, this young lady was seen on television driving while on probation of a suspended license. Suspended means you cannot legally drive. She needs to understand that in some situations, she will be treated just like the rest of us smucks, get over it, and do her 45 days, which will probably be reduced anyway. If Martha can, I'm sure she can too.

She prob could study a lesson and see the interior a penal complex cellular for a on an identical time as. she would be able to charm the sentence although and prob get off with a great (that may not impression her) and community service or something. the wealthy, nicely-time-honored and efficient could be taken care of like all and sundry else, even though it quite does not look like that's a certainty.

Fair.
Although she may not have to serve the full sentence now due to 'state policies and jail overcrowding,' which I'm not sure is the reason.
She already thinks she's ABOVE the law.
I think she needs professional help. This probably won't be the first we'll see of her getting in trouble w/ the law.

It was very fair. The average guy would have got longer probably. Just cus shes a "celeb"- I don't see why, she doesn't have many talents- doesn't mean she's so special that she's above the law.

It was fair because continuing unpunished would give the impression that a spoiled rich girl can get away with things that common people don't.
