I didn't really have an opinion about Paris Hilton either way, but I do know that if it were any "normal" person in her situation, there would be no question of a jail sentence. I do not think it is at all fair that there is even a CHANCE of her getting out of serving her time. It ruins the integrity of the law and the court system by playing favorites for celebrities and the wealthy.

I definately agree.
Everyone should have to abide by the rules- rich and famous or not.
But I also believe that the people have gone downhill, because we care so much about the lives of celebrities.
What does Paris going to jail have to do with you and I? What will it every do for you and I?
Personally, I don't think she's worth anyone's time.
And the only celebrity that needs real recognition outside of their films are the ones that donate and actually give back to the community in ways other than spending millions of dollars on a house/car while there are tons of people worldwide that can't afford to feed their children at night.

No one is above the law, much more so a very public figure such as Paris Hilton. If the judgment is jail time for her, then she needs to serve the sentence.

Paris Hilton is like any other person. If she breaks the law, she should have to deal with the consequences. Just because she's a celebrity, doesn't mean she should get special treatment.

Yes, I agree with you that she needs to go to jail for what she did. (she violated her probation for anyone who doesn't know) No one is above the law. Just because she's a celebrity doesn't mean she can get away with it. If you're gonna do the crime, you have to do the time. Plain and simple.

Yes, almost everyone agrees with you. The only people who completely don't are, um, her attorneys and such. And probably her parents and sister. As she even said in a quote, "I'm not above the law." If someone else goes to jail for what she did, she should, too.

I totally agree, she did the crime now she MUST do the time. It's about time that she learned that there are consequences to her actions and having money will not save you from the repercussions of your actions. I hope she likes the color jail jumpsuit orange.
