at that moment i would think i was being mugged but when i would see the car whizz past me and realize that you had done it for my good- i would thank u profusely and explain how surprised i was at first.

I think I would have to thank you, but I don't walk around with head phones in busy intersections, so I wouldn't have to worry about it.

Read completely before thumbing. I would have to know if I would have been hit and killed, or hit and was still able to sue the owner of the vehicle for millions. Just kidding on that answer, I'm sure I would be very grateful that you saved my life. And anybody who would not appreciate what you had just done should be pushed in the street next time.
