A U-haul is usually a rental truck or van from the U-Haul company. When Americans talk about moving furniture or other large items, they would usually say get a U-Haul to transport the items.
U-Haul is a registered trademark of U-Haul International, Inc. an equipment rental company, based in Phoenix, Arizona, that has been in operation since 1945.
The company was founded by Leonard Shoen in Ridgefield, Washington, who began it in the garage owned by his wife's family, and expanded through franchising with gas stations.
U-Haul is owned by Amerco, a holding company which also operates Amerco Real Estate, Republic Western Insurance, and Oxford Life Insurance.

Sorry for the rude answers. Some people think their world is the only one on the planet.
U-haul is a company that rents trucks and trailers. In many places in the USA, when you need to move to another home or just move something large, you may say, "I'm going to rent a U-Haul". It could mean either a motorized truck, or a trailer that is towed.
Hope this helps.

Go to their website, www.uhaul.com . You can rent a moving truck or a small trailer there, which you would then drive. Also, you can get boxes, backing material, rent dollies (appliance and regular) and all kinds of things. It's fairly cheap as well! I have rented U-Hauls twice, the first time their second biggest truck and the second time their second biggest pull behind trailer, and I had great experiences with them each time! I highly recommend them!

U-Haul is a company that rents trucks and vans that you drive yourself. Also carrier-things that you can tow with your car. "You haul" it yourself.
