Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee are complaining Democrats on the panel are cutting money for intelligence operations involving Iraq and radical jihadists in the latest budget... but at the same time ordering the intelligence community to produce an official National Intelligence Estimate in the next few months on the impact of global warming over the next 30 years.
Democrats say global warming could have a serious impact on military operations and global tensions. But Republicans say it's a waste of money and resources... and that other parts of the government are already working on the issue.

Last month, the Military Advisory Board issued a report stating that “national security consequences of climate change should be fully integrated into national security and national defense strategies.” The Military Advisory Board is a panel of respected retired military officers including President Bush’s former Middle East envoy Gen. Anthony Zinni. The Democrats want a National Intelligence Assessment on this issue.
In 2003, the Pentagon said, “Because of the potentially dire consequences, the risk of abrupt climate change...should be elevated beyond a scientific debate to a U.S. national security concern."
The Republicans, of course, are trying to politicize this issue.

Dems are easily duped especially when there is a way to make money by scaring folks into contributing (save the planet) or make money as they force compliance to their air brained ideology... Global warming nothing compared to the damage a major war or a few nukes,dirty bombs, and the methane produced by corpses.
DEMS are anti military as they don't believe anything is worth dying for...

Because democrats are idiots. Global warming is a natural occurring phenomenon. It is also constantly accelerating until it reaches its peak and then it will start to decline. by this time most of us will be dead. And for them saying the only thing that will save the polar ice caps is a volcanic. This shows there stupidity because 1 volcanic eruption puts more green house gasses and more carbon then all the cars in the world so yeah this will help.
