I shot an independent movie not too long ago. Their are pics on the photographer website that I'm trying to get. The problem is, I can't copy and paste the pic, I can't drag the pic, and I when I right click and only talks about Adobe flash player options. Is there any other way I can get these pics?

Yes, if the picture can be fit on the screen, you can do a full screen capture and then chop out the unwanted parts..

To capture:
Open MS Paint (Photoshop is much better though)
Switch to the picture you want to capture
Press PrtScrn on your keyboard
Switch back to MS paint
Press Ctrl+V

You cant take pictures from a SWF. You can only get the movie or the show and use it with Flash. Flash is a program that allows you to create animated or video based websites. You would only be able to use the print screen to get a shot of the item you want to steal from the other site. There is no way to decompile the SWF and take the picture from it. You have to have the original FLA file that was created with Flash.

Well, since the pictures are embedded in a Adobe Flash file, then the only other way out of this is:
- download the Adobe Flash (.swf) file (search the Page Source for the location of the swf file and use a download manager to download it...may need some work as the link to it may not be straight forward)
- search Google for 'SWF Decompiler' of 'Flash Decompiler' and download of the programs listed - the one you prefer (these programs convert SWF files to Adobe Flash files (previously Macromedia Flash files)
- if you don't have Adobe Flash, download the trial version from Adobe
http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/
- Open the decompiled file (with Adobe Flash or Macromedia Flash)
- All pictures are now under your fingertips!

Hope this helps...
Good Luck!

How can so many people be so wrong about something so simple?

Clipper is the only person who got this right. You simply need a SWF / Flash decompiler program, of which there are dozens. I've not used the one he notes. I use SoThink SWF Decompiler and couldn't be happier with it:

A visit to http://www.download.com and search there for "swf decompiler" will give you lots of options, including a couple free programs.

Some of these programs (such as SoThink) will automatically grab all Flash animations off the page and show you all the parts of them; you can simply grab the images / video you want. Others require you to save the page to your desktop first, then decompile the file.

Please give Clipper best answer. He deserves it. Note to other answerers: If you don't know what you are talking about, remain silent.

This is a flash web site. Images are embedded in it. You need to grab the swf file and use a decompiler. Search the web for Bytescout Movies Extractor Scout.

You can use a screen grabber/capture software to save yourself from the too-much -techie Flash decompile stuff. Just download SnagIt from download.com and install. Good luck.

Click on file at the top left corner of you browser and then save as... Select a type fo Save As as web page and then save it in the correct location.
Now go to that location and find the file. There will be an additional folder at the location wich will contain all the file that made up the web page. Including style andjavascript as well as images.

Good luck.

Of course, you just pay for the pics from the original photographer. They are very, very low cost in most cases, usually from $50-$150 dollars per picture so no problem.

I agree with John... that's the easiest way. I use the Control key + the print screen key. My print screen key is at the top of the keyboard, to the right of the F12 button.
