The All-NBA first team consisted of forwards Dirk Nowitzki (Dallas) and Tim Duncan (San Antonio), center Amare Stoudemire (Phoenix) and guards Steve Nash (Phoenix) and Kobe Bryant (Los Angeles). James received 64 first-place votes and 494 total points in the voting for forward, well behind Nowitzki (125, 634) and Duncan (94, 573).

I think it's crazy he didn't get selected first team. Are you telling me Duncan and Stoudemire deserve it over LeBron? I don't know if they have to have 2 guards, 2 forwards and a center, or if they just pick the best five players, but I can't fathom that he's not chosen over Duncan at forward. His stats, playmaking ability and overall skills are much greater than Duncan's. I guess reputation and past successes must play a part in the process. That's the only way I see Duncan getting picked at forward over James.

I was surprised LeBron didn't make the first time when I read about it this morning. Then I looked at the names of those who did, specially Nowitzki and Duncan. Those two along with LeBron are premiere players. If Nowitzki or Duncan didn't make the first team, Dallas or San Antonio fans would have been up in arms. It was a tough call for someone.

You forget that people in the media think that the East is full of a bunch of scrub teams that aren't fit to be ball boys for the "mighty western conference", despite the fact that the east has won two of the last three championships. That being said, LeBron's numbers are impressive at first glance, 28 ppg. 7rpg. 8.2apg. BUt he also averaged 3.2 turnovers a game, shot 69 percent from the free-throw line, but how can you argue against any of the other people on the list, except Dirk Nowitzki who had awfully low stats for an MVP.

Stoudemire should not have been first team all-NBA. Lebron Should have taken his place. Duncan is such an outstanding defensive presence, he definitely is one of the top 5.

Of course. They should've made Duncan center, took out Stodemire and put in LeBron at forward.

Ridiculous.
