He implies that there are good days.
It's all about the spin.

I am sure that Mr. Bush does not say "they had a bad day" to the families of the fallen troops from the wars we didn't ask for.
I'm sure a bad day would be a terrible thing in his eyes. I'm sure that George Bush cries for fallen heroes just like the rest of us. I'm sure that he feels terrible that this war has to be in the first place. But, really think about it, did he start it? Probably in a sense, but I'm also pretty sure that he didn't call those guys over here to toss airplanes into buildings. I'm pretty sure he didn't have anything to do with the Kurds being tortured in Iraq. I'm pretty sure he is trying to save more valuable lives.
I'm also pretty sure that those soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines are over there protecting as many lives as they can. War is Hell. We all agree with that. GW Bush agrees with that, but sometimes, like in the Revolutionary war, the Mexican/American war, the World Wars, they are inevitable to keep more terrible things from happening. Can you even imagine if Hitler had won???
Our fallen servicemen, soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines deserve our respect, and our thanks. I shake the hand of each and every one I can identify, either by their uniform, or by the way they hold themselves in public. We should be proud of our young men and women, and not give anyone in the decision making branches a hard time, because it trickles down. Those servicemen and women take it personally. Do you want them to think that you don't believe in them? I would not like that.
Just ask one. I asked 3--my children in the Marines, and they all said they don't like the war, but it's their duty, they will abide by the rules, and they don't want to hear sniveling from those who just want to pull out, and not finish what has been started. It's too late. We're there. Let's just get it done.

I bet you cry yourself to sleep every night, worried about what the BIG BAD PRESIDENT will do next! Considering these examples of America's best and brightest all volunteered for this, I doubt that ever enters into your equation, does it? "Enlightened" folks like you could give a rat's @ss about the military. You just use them to dig at the President and the war. Go back in your hole and bide your time while you drool at the prospect of a (God forbid) democratic President.

you think Bush has ever talked to the family of a soldier, unless for a photo op? And Lewis, he's so absolute in his convictions that in 2000 while running for president he abhorred Clinton getting involved in Bosnia for 2 reasons(from his mouth)...One, there was no timeline or definitive objective and two, because he felt the US should not be in the habit of nation building and we as a country are ill equipped to do it...so what changed!!! OWNED BIOTCH

What appalls me is how you anti war liberals seem to think that these young men who join the military and their families don't realize that they KNOW that their service may require the sacrifice of their lives. You just can't seem to take that into account.
