Ok I have read a lot of things where people ask about hobbies, and people answer by asking what they like. so i will tell you what i like, then maybe from there you can help.
I used to like video games, but I'm trying to quit. Today I am going to the store to pick up some tee-shirts and some iron-ons, that might be fun.
I'm looking for something that will entertain me for a while.
I like to go outside with my dog, I like to rollerblade. And I LOVE CSI.
So if you have any ideas of what I would like, post them here, and I will most liekly go to the store today and try them out, thx for the help

You said you like to go outside with your dog. Think about volunteering at your local humane or animal shelter. that would definitely keep you away from your video games and you would be doing a good deed also.

My husband tries to get everyone involved in model rocketry. I think it calls to both the engineer and the pyromaniac in him. Get a simple model rocket kit from your local craft store, like Michaels, Hobby Lobby, or any other. You can also get them online from stores like Jonrocket.com. They are marked by Skill Level, so you'll want to start with a Skill Level 1. Traditionally, most model rocketeers have started with an Estes Alpha, but there are many types. There are even RTF kits (ready to fly), but that feels like cheating--you don't really build anything. With E2X kits you build a little better, but if you really want to learn, start with the Alpha.

Follow the directions carefully, and be SURE you have all the parts before you start--sometimes something's missing, and it can ruin your day to get one half finished and find out you don't have all the parts.

You can really make your rocket look good by how you finish it. When you put on the fins, once they're dry, add a small bead of wood glue along the joints and carefully smooth them down with your finger to completely fill the gap (kind of like the space between bricks). A good way to paint them is spray paint, but not too heavy. My husband sprays the paint into the air and passes the rocket through the mist. He gives them 2-3 thin coats that way, so they don't drip. You'll need to paint some things separately, like the fins and nose cone, if they're to be another color. You can do that by masking them off with masking tape and using either spray paint or Testor's, the type of paint used on model cars.

Check around--there are rocket clubs in most cities. If your local hobby shop doesn't have a list, check the National Association of Rocketry's website (NAR.com). When you get together with them (or if you want to buy a launcher and launch on your own), you'll need a fairly large, clear field, like the size of a couple of soccer fields. There truly is such a thing as a rocket-eating tree, and I've heard stories of locals grabbing rockets and either taking or destroying them if they land nearby.

I collect coins. There are many different ways you can go about this. You can collect US coins or foreign coins, you can collect coins with a specific motif such as dogs, you can focus on just one series such Lincoln Cents or Morgan Dollars, plus many other versions.

Once you start studying coins you get into history, culture, economics, art and politics.

Have fun.

How about building your own radio controlled car? Some of them can go over 60 mph and have the suspension of real cars

You should find a hobby on your own. Something you like doing. So if you want to collect things, or anything else you like.
