Ha, have you seen me at work or something? I own a used bookstore, and I think I spend more time throwing psycho people out of the store (it's in a bad part of town, lots of homeless and drunk people around or just psycho people. This really happened to me, and it sounds crazy, but where I work, *questionable* people enter the store all the time. Last year, a very fat black man entered my store wearing ( I am NOT joking ) a lime green Speedo, a cropped white shirt ( didn't do his belly any favors) and pink flip flops. He asked me where the business section was and I pointed it out. I wasn't TOO worried about him because I figured the way he was dressed, he couldn't STEAL anything. So I went on with my work, putting books away, and arranging tables. Then I noticed this guy had moved to the back of the store, where there's some more bookshelves. I kept unpacking boxes, and then I caught him staring at me, and when I caught him, he'd look away. This went on for about ten minutes, and I was getting fed up. I took the bread knife from my desk, and went back there. I was SO angry, not to mention disgusted! He was sprawled out buck naked, um, pleasuring himself and staring at me. I screamed at him to get the hell out of the store. "Get dressed and get OUT" he got all upset and said, "I can't find mah key!" I said, "I don't give a damn about your key, get dressed and leave. I am going to call 911" he ran around the store naked, jiggling all over the place, (which in retrospect, was kind of funny because it looked like an escargot) Finally I got the cops, and told this freak that he'd better leave or the cops would arrest him. He got dressed and left, and gave ME this look like I'd ruined his little playtime. Grrr! I was SO angry. I looked around the store and found his key. No wonder he wanted it. It had the name of his hotel and the room number. The cops finally came, and I gave them the key, and they said "Oh yeah, we know this guy. We'll pick him up." Now, is my workplace filled with tension? Haha! (It's never gotten that bad since, but I do get some dubious characters)

My previous job was INSANE !! A tiny telecom company (erased by PacBell->SBC->ATT) that was staffed my several gals that did little but talk to friends and buff their nails... I was actually relieved to be laid off in 2002 !!

I "consult" for them now part-time and at 3 times the wage.

My "main" job now is as a freelance model-builder / props-master. I just finished a model-railroad for a well-off almost retired guy: made a years income in 3 months with very little tension, anger or angst.

Oh and off today :P

Well I work at a 9-1-1 center so it can get really intense. At times the tension is palpable.

If you mean with co-workers the answer is no. I do my own thing, they leave me to do it and we manage to all get along, lol. I am a domestic violence counselor, so the answer is yes most of the time.
