Sharpton makes a comment about Mitt Romney that all mormons are going to hell anyways and where is the media outrage? Sharpton doesn't even apologize but makes an excuse for his statement pretending it is an apology and not a whisper from anyone or any outrage. Where are the calls to have him removed from any public media. I guess when a ultra left wing liberal makes a bigoted cheap shot at a more conservative religion its perfectly acceptable and he can just apologize and it can be forgotten. Don Imus gets fired because of stirred up outrage in big part by this man and yet Sharpton does the same thing to another group of people and not a peep from anyone. This blatant hyppocrisy and liberal media bias is amazing.

it is because almost every one knows the truth that Mormons are going to hell for their cult beliefs so no one cares about people saying the truth

I've come to the conclusion that the media and the public completely overreacted to the Imus comments. If a stink hadn't been raised about it, no one would have cared. These comments were pretty typical of things Imus has said every day for the past 20 years. Sharpton's a clown and I think no intelligent person (of any race) really takes him seriously.

Media outrage comes only after a public outrage.. The people got ticked at Imus for that comment and forced the media to report.. It's not the medias fault that Romney's party is full of Christian fanatics who probably agree with Sharpton's lame azz talking points.. Maybe you should get out and show some support for good ole Mitt and stir up an outrage instead of sitting back complaining about it..

There seemed to be quite an outrage at these two radio show hosts who talked about Condaleeza Rice. Yer point is busted...

He actually apologized this time, not like all the other times.

I can't stand the guy, but this time he truly did apologize, and what he said was also taken out of context and it wasn't as bad as people are making it out to be.

As much of a race-baiting jerk as he is, the media is making this a much bigger issue than it should be. And he really did apologize this time, not just apologize for how people take things (which he usually does).

He never said all Mormons are going to hell, as you are trying to make it seem (as so many in the media are doing). Read the original quote in the original context, and you'll see that it was the way people took it, not what he actually said...

You hit the nail on the head. The media bias and blow hards like Sharpton get a free pass from the left wingers everytime. It's a sad commentary on our world today.

Where have you been? Both ends of the political radio and TV spectrum have been talking about and no one is saying that Big Al should get a pass. Imus wasn't fired immediately. That happened several days after the incident. It's too soon to start accusing anyone of hypocrisy.

Dont try to make this a liberal vs conservatives issue.

I'm one of the most liberal people youll ever meet, and Al Sharpton disgusts me.

But two wrongs dont make a right. Firing Don Imus was wrong, and firing Al Sharpton would be just as wrong. He has a right to free speech too, even if he doesnt respect any one elses right to the same free speech.

The real question is this, why does anyone pay attention and listen to this hypocritical, arrogant, racist nutjob? We should let him talk all he wants and say whatever he wants, and ignore him like we ignore most other nutjobs.

When did Sharpton say that Mormons are going to hell? I know he basically said that Mormons don't worship God like Christians do.

Whoops! Guess he forgot Harry Reid will be going to Hell also. Harry is a Mormon. I'd like to know why bigot Sharpton still has a radio show.

And Bush gets bashed constantly for being pro-christianity....he wasn't even insulting anyone!
What's sad is most people don't see the bias. They swallow whatever is fed to them by the media.
We watched a movie in my government class called levees broke. I was the only one to stand up and say that this movie was unfounded and biased. Everyone else watched and accepted it. And if you haven't seen the movie, it's a giant Bush Bashing festival. Not worth your time.
