Because, for one, we have our male pride. Male society is generally hierarchical. It is every man's worst fear to get booted to the bottom of the hierarchy. That is one of the ways in which you do it- being seen as a woman. Guys have lots of feelings and would like to share them AT TIMES. Specific times. Women will just share them whenever they need to, but guys pick out a moment. A time, a person, etc. Not just anytime. One thing men (including me) believe, through experience, is that when women say that, they don't really mean it in the way we want. You say you won't judge us, but we don't believe that. You'll see us as weak and pathetic. Women say that when they are looking for something specific. If the guy expresses something and its, god forbid, not in line with what the woman wants, well then he's a loser in her opinion. If a girl does the same thing, not only is it acceptable, but the guy is still a loser because he either A screwed up in some way, B wasn't understanding enough, or C if none of the above, just failed as a male. I'm being facetious, but honestly, this is how men see it. We don't trust you.
Edit: I can't belive I'm typing this during lunch when the bell just rang and I have to go to 6th period or I'll get a detention, but I wanted to add this: You may think that if some guy you're close to started expressing his emotions with you that you'd like it, and support him, and help him, and find it good for both of you. I'm not trying to put you down, and maybe what I'm saying isn't true, but almost all girls would end up losing respect for him and turn on him.

We get taught that it is a weakness to show emotion. If a boy falls down and starts crying, it is "get up boy dont cry like a baby", When is it ever taught it is ok for a guy to show emotion? So do you think that we are just going to magically change how we were raised? No!

When we know we're with the right girl at the right time we'll tell ya,other than that we don't put our hearts on our sleeves,we need them to wipe are mouth's.

Its a matter of pride. we dont want anyone to know cause then ppl will think that we cant even hande ourselfs.
