There 8 planets orbiting our sun with numerous moons and dwarf planets as well. If you mean in the Universe, then you are looking at a much larger number.

Well, if you mean just in our solar system, then the answer is eight. The answer used to be nine, but the astronomers decided that Pluto wasn't a planet after all, just a large cold rock pretending to be a planet orbiting the sun on an odd plane.

If you are asking how many planets in the universe... well, since according to the late great Carl Sagan, there are billions and billions of stars in the universe, and most if not all of those stars have planetary systems of some kind, then there must be billions and billions of planets as well.

1 planet , 2 planet, skip a few 8 planets! Yay!!

In the solar system at least.

For the universe, no one knows. It's like asking someone to name all the states in alphabetical order. It just can't be done.

there are 9 planets but pluto doesn't fit in with the rest of the planets so they've been discussing whether or not it is a planet. because pluto has been considered a planet for so long and it is important to many people, it is now considered a planet and a TNO.

8 planets in our solar system.

But in the universe who knows??? It's not a googel I can tell you that there are not a googel of atroms in the universe.

But this I do know for every grain of sand on earch there are a million stars in space, as to how many of these have planets we don't exactly know, but in recent years we've been discovering more and more planets, and it looks like most stars do have planets.

depends on what you are really asking. there are likely an infinite number of planets, considering that every star you see in the sky likely has a planetary system around it. if you are asking about our solar system, there used to be 9, but Pluto lost its "planetary" status, leaving us with 8 planets in our system

Right now, there are eight orbiting around our sun. The other objects are not considered to be planets.

If your IQ is under 20 and you believe in NASA then there are 8. But if you are a true Christian like myself and believe in God, there billions in the universe. NASA is made up of non-believer liars. Believe in Jesus Christ...!!!
