I am the co owner of a tanning salon so when I was pregnant with my 1st child this was a concern of mine as well. I went to my 1st visit & asked the doctor, she said it was ok...but that everyone's opinion is different based on their beliefs about indoor tanning..she said she wasn't a fan of it herself but the baby is protected. However...don't tan until your hot..once you get hot the baby gets hot...so limit the amount of time you go to where the temp. is comfortable..try finding the least used bed
Hope this helps!

It's not safe to lay in a tanning bed. Period.

I wouldn't. If you are pregnant it can be very dangerous and the doctors advise against it. Come to think of it, doctors advise against tanning beds period. There are some good tanning creams and lotions you could probably use. Call your OB/GYN and let them know you are trying to get pregnant and see what they recommend.

They are no more dangerous than they are normally if you're trying to become pregnant. But, they can acuse harm if you are pregnant. Sadly, no one knows the moment they become pregnant, so I would say if you're trying to concieve, go ahead & avoid just in case.

it's never safe to lay in a tanning bed.
i guarntee they will be outlawed within the next 10 years, when women who've been using them for more than 20 years will give us the proof we need that they cause such terrible skin cancers that it should be a crime to let you lay in one.
