Which is more important,
"You" or "I" or "They"?

2007-05-11 09:13:56 · 14 answers · asked by jACKSON 2 in Arts & Humanities Philosophy

Actually if this question i can answer myself,
I will choose OR.
Now there are 4 words above:
You, I , They , Or
The "OR" actually can be chosen as the importance of each is equalized.

Therefore, intelligently, OR is the best answer. Coz these pronouns are basically made out of humans. And The difference is about the perspectives towards one or one community.

By the way, i would still like to see how others respond on this question.
Have fun.

Cheers

You ..

If i make you happy .. and you accept me .. you would do anything to help me .. and then we got to mutual understanding .. we will reach to WE..
and then we will make who are they .. join us or may be just making them help us .. and as we help them .. and we wil reach to WE too ..
So what about WE ???

Nobody would argue about WE ??? right ???

Enjoy your life ..
have a great day ..

They with a capital 'T" have always been a quirky concept in my mind....I'm suspicious as to the reality of 'They're' existence ...yet the evidence seems to be there when it comes to the societal political, and collective consciousness of our cultures.

They is a blanket statement for the prevailing attitude of the realms of the world. 'They ' or 'the masses' and the laws (written and unwritten) they are driven by are the most important in a worldly sense.

One way of looking at 'I' is spiritually . "I" is what matters when it comes to affecting a sacred reverence for life and vital for a healthy community. When the 'I's' are balanced , whole and authentic (ok I'm an idealist) the society is in peak health. (not ego driven non conscious self service)

'You' to me is a gray area...you could be a distracted low finger pointing term or it could be caring about what others think...or elevating 'you' through the practice of NAMASTE.....

I think 'I' is most important from the inside out and 'They' is most consequential from the big scale in.

To me, all have equal importance as they're interrelated. Only my opinion, of course, but "You," "I" & "They" work in harmony. I like the answer of anwar a--"We." This is so inclusive.

Edit: Am "I" losing it "OR" are "YOU?" When you use the conjunction "or," i.e., an ALTERNATIVE, between three words in quotes, how can you say there are four words to choose from?? Now I have to back & look at your details, to see if this is a riddle, OR I'm getting very sleepy, OR there's some way to rationalize this...

It might be said that "I" is more important, the premise being that the "you" & "they" have importance/value only from the importance of oneself. Yet, don't we share the same molecules? Are we made of the same "stardust?" I think our lives are irrevocably interconnected. Something like "For Whom the Bell Tolls." All three complete the circle.

Most definetly the "OR" in between. The fact there is a choice we can choose whether we agree or disagree is the most important factor here.

There's a saying in business, though it really does apply to life in general as well, that "We can do little, but I can do anything". You will often hear people say that "they" or "we" need to do this or that. But invariably everyone will assume that someone else will do it. The only way to really get anything done is for one individual "I" to step to the line and say "I will do it". He/she may not do it alone, and generally doesn't, but that "I" is necessary to take responsibility for getting it done.

"US" is most important !! Because... not all the poeple can/would live for 'they' or for society. At the same time, not all people will be selfish enough to live for 'I'. Most of us live for "US" and not for anything else.

I am sure u wouold accept. Dont u ?

To me, "I" is most important because if "I" wasn't, I couldn't do anything about "You" or "They".
