did he do an ultrasound on your belly or inside you? if he did it inside he should be able to see the sack, and an embryo, but not a baby yet. i went for an ultrasound on the inside at 6 and a half weeks and it was still just an embryo. if you are miscarrying there will be lots of blood. until then, dont worry. your doc will keep you informed.

Did the doctor check for a heartbeat? If not, I think that's a little weird. Hearing the heartbeat is a good indication that the pregnancy will be a viable one (although that's not always true, as I can tell you from personal experience). When I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks, the baby was only measuring around 8 weeks. In your case, you could be measuring small, you could have miscalculated the date, or you could be experiencing trouble. Some miscarriages involve a sack but no embryo. What was your doctor's recommendation? Are you going back soon for another visit? Best wishes for a positive outcome.

It's hard to say, but if he was concerned he should have done further testing or at least given you more information. I'm confused how he measured a baby at 5 weeks, but then said there was nothing to measure? Being less or more is also normal. I was suppose to be 8 weeks along, but according to my ultrasound I was just over 7, but they didn't change my due date since it was just a different in a handful of days.
Honestly, I don't really like the sound of your doctor. I'd suggest getting another opinion from another OB in your area.

I think the doctor might be a little on the crazy side. If you're not bleeding or anything like that, it's probably not a miscarriage. I am not a doctor though. They tell how far along you are by the first day of your last period. Even at around 11 weeks the baby looks like a blob. If you think your doctor might be a little off, then i'd just change doctors.

i grow to be precipitated with my first at 38w4 days by fact "he grow to be waiting", the medical expert stated. I had my 2nd infant at 32w1d by an incompetent cervix. My first son tore my cervix on his way out and that i assume it made it vulnerable for the 2nd infant. i'm merely grateful he made it to 32 weeks and that i did no longer have him previously. He grow to be 3 lbs 10 oz. & 17 inches long. He grow to be waiting to respire on his very own from the 2nd he grow to be born. He grow to be between the fortunate ones. He merely became a year previous on 11-26 and he weighs 21 lbs and is 29 inches long! If there's a next infant, i could have a cerclage put in. merely attempt to relax and don't rigidity. How a ways alongside are you?

Well, your doctor would know better than us. However, it is possible that the baby is too small to really see right now in the ultrasound. You'll just have to wait it out and see if you are mis-carrying, but if you are, I would assume your doctor would have let you know.

I had to go back weekly with my last pregnancy because all they saw was an empty sack...until almost 8 weeks. It could be something called a blighted ovum----they should be doing bloodwork to see if your HCG hormone is going up.....
There is really nothing you can do except wait. I remember how scarey this is, I cried and cried......but it turned out okay for me, I hope for you too.

No idea, did he do a internal ultrasound?? those can see the baby and uterus much better then detecting it from an abdominal exam. Go to another doctor and request a vaginal ultrasound.

it may be too early to tell, or there could be an incomplete pregnancy, or you may be losing the baby. Take it easy and wait. I'm sorry.
