My husband (NOT ME) says it's because of all the 'flamers' out there!

Yes we are aren't we...... We have a lot of land, with lush vegitation, that when it dries out, makes for a rather combustable situation.
Perhaps you would have us use Agent Orange, and defoliate the area. At least the tourists with Plaid Shorts, Black Socks, and Wing Tips, would stay out, and I could actually get into Disneyland, and have more room to Surf, without getting hit in the head by a Surf Board , by some Dude trying to learn how, while taking pictures.

But that's just me....

Love the question!!!! lol.

It's not just California burning.. Look at Florida.. Heck, even Minnesota is on fire right now.. Maybe "Global Warming" is the culprit.. haha

There are a lot of canyons here in CA. They are practically in everyones backyards. Tons of dry canyon brush with very low humidity equals high fire danger.

If inconsiderate smokers would stop throwing out their cigarettes of their car windows, several of the fires would have never started!

Wouldn't you think that people would do their own research
before saying that Global Warming was a serious threat
instead of listening to Al Gore?

They never burn the right parts though. They need to do some torching in Compton, Pico Rivera, El Centro ...

It might be that they are always on fire because it could be a natural thing for that area to burn. It happens in other parts of the world the land burns. Some plants will not seed unless they are burned.

You've just answered the biggest question of all time. That explains Global warming. That and all of that hot air coming out of Hoggywood is enough to cause an explosion.

Wow!!! :)

It's been a dry season and it's a dry state. Are you making a political statement based off of it? Are you kidding?!

I know you think you are funny when you ask questions like this, and I really do try to avoid your questions- except for when I HAVE to point out that you are truly the cruelest person. Have your children followed your kind, charitable example as well??

It's really hot and dry in California. There's not much humidity on the west coast.
