So..this security guard just saw my best friend and her boyfriend going out together.Her parents dont know about this.When she neared her apartment,the guard asked for a bribe.Now what should she do???
NO WAY she is gonna give the guard the bribe.

Have her hire a private investigator or investigate the security guard herself and find incriminating evidence against him and use it as leverage. If someone is conniving enough to blackmail someone for no reason, he must not be a good person and probably has some secrets of his own. Advise your friend not to give in and give him money because he can keep blackmailing her in the future. How does the security guard know that her parents are not aware of the relationship in the first place?

Is your best friend willing to sacrifice herself for the public? If so, report the guard. If he is willing to accept bribe on this tiny matter, imagine what activities would be going on in the whole apartment. Its only money and the whole building could be a refuge for illegals or unlawful acticivities. Would you feel safe to have a guard like that?
If the answer is no from you friend then just tell both of them to deny. Its their words against his. Then next time they meet go somewhere further. That way, it would make her parents aware of the guards character.

Screw the security guard. If she pays him once she will be paying the rest of her life or as long as he is around. I say... face the music and dare him to tell. After all... how is he going to approach her parents to snitch? He isn't close to them. They may not react the way he or she thinks. Get honest with the parents and be real girl!

Threaten to report the gaurd for soliciting bribes from residents, especially if she is a minor. The uproar resulting from that if he's reported will over shadow her being out with her boyfriend by far.

Threaten to tell his bosses. This is blackmail. Your friend could always say the boy is just a friend who called round. I think her parents would be more interested in the blackmail story
