It's a nice Spring day (as with everyday), clear, blue skies, around 78 degrees, a little warm, with a nice breeze.... Fall is crisp yet sunny and warm. I can wear open-toed sandles in the middle of December/Jan with no problem.... I don't ever need a coat, in fact I don't even own one and haven't in over 10 yrs! Our summers are warm, but never drastic or unbearable... The weather is never to the EXTREME here, it's always a happy, comfortable medium all year round....

You're right, California has some of the best weather in the country -- however, it's wasted on Californians.
Locals just don't seem to appreciate it, that's for sure. I was visiting there with my fiance during September, and the weather was awesome. In the evenings, the temps dropped to the upper 60's -- just perfect!! But, what did we see? Restaurants cranking up their outdoor heater units!!
Oh well...

Depends on where in California you are. Some parts of Calif. get friggin' cold in winter and the snow gets to good you can ski and board. Out in the desert, it gets bloody hot and sunny--too hot and sunny for most people to really enjoy. If you aren't a sun and beach type person, your California might not appeal to that person. In most of the states I've been to in the US (maybe 45 of them), they've each had weather that was very appealing. Southern Florida also stays warm and sunny most of the year, and I know Hawaii is real nice all year around (except during hurricanes). So, although California may have great weather, there are other places that are fun and wonderful too.

I think the "comfortable medium" weather is boring, personally. I like to have full on seasons! When it's winter I want to see some snow and in the fall there is nothing more beautiful than the changing maple trees. I don't think Christmas would be Christmas without some snow or that biting cold air. I couldn't live without the crazy rain storms we get in the spring and fall.
It's exciting for the weather to be different everyday. :D

It depends what part of California you're talking about. And what kind of climate you like.
The climate in Nothern Calif (North of SF) is different from So Cal. The climate along the coast is different from the desert, which is again different from the Sierras.
It's a big state with something for everybody.
To answer Dr Nigel: Most of us in So Cal like it warm, less than 70F to us, is downright cold! We can always tell tourists: We're wearing jackets, and they run around in shorts and t-shirts.

As a displaced Californian living in the South, CA has the best weather in the country hands down especially along the coast.

I surely agree! My Dad & hubby could make astonishing fowl soups- my Dad makes it with total fowl, Mexican rice, potatoes.. a great variety of vegetables. it truly is great. Hubby's recipe is greater classic. i pass to make fowl tortilla soup & potato soup this 365 days. in no way made the two yet I also have a great tortilla soup recipe that i attempted one 365 days. delicious. yet another one i might desire to make is my mom's albondigas. it truly is especially lots soup. in no way made meatballs yet i won't be in a position to think of it truly is that no longer hassle-free. :)

the Cali coast does, anyway. I'm less keen in interior temperatures, at least in summer.
