1. snack few hours after meals, I do, fruits mostly, grapes, apples, kiwis, mangos.2. I don't eat school lunch.3.$5.00 is about i spend on unhealthy food.(I think parents should suggest and show examples of healthy eating habits, cause you can't watch em' like a hawk everytime.)4.Childhood obesity is on the rise, because people barely even cook homemade dinner which is gazillion times healthier than take out food. Fast food chains is like a breeding house for childhood obesity, avoid at all cost.5. Preventing childhood obesity depends on nutritional education and forming healthy eating habits. Of course, kids are kids, so make arrangements on what should be eaten first before having a piece of that chocolate cake.6. I think majority of people would say "no way" to exercise but walking alone has a significant affect on your well being.7. I think the p.e department should recognize what interest the kids so they could enjoy it while getting the health benefits.8. I think I get a moderate level of exercise per week, due to walking to the store, bike to work days, and track drills.

I am not a teenager, but I work with them every day and I am happy to answer your questions:
1) Due to my age, I try not to
2) I don't buy school lunches, I purchase a sub every day and "share" half of it with my students (whoever wants it); it's too much for me on my own, so they can take the other half and that keeps me from overeating.
3) I try to NOT eat unhealthy food but my weakness is chocolate and I try and limit it to maybe one candy bar a week
4) I think childhood obesity is directly linked to how much tv you guys watch and how much time you spend on the computers.
5) get kids to eat more fruits/vegetables as snacks, limit tv time, exercise with parents, and limit computer tiime
6) No I can't say I do
7) The PE department at MY school as a kid was very "pro jock". That meant that if you were NOT a jock (as I wasn't), they delighted in torturing people like me. I would say that if a PE teacher wants to make exercise positive, they have to stop showing favoritism to a select group.
8) I do yoga several times a week, so i feel it is adequate for me.
