And, Why dont you throw those things in your ash tray in stead of all over the road, the next time you are at a busy intersection stopped at a light count how many buts you see. You cant the light will change. I know why you dont put them in your ash tray CAUSE THEY STINK!!

I am a smoker and I agree that packing cigarettes looks pretty stupid and sounds pretty annoying too. That's why I choose to pack mine in private.
I also agree with you that people shouldn't throw trash (of any kind) out their window. I have friends who ditch their butts out the window when they're finished. I don't just let it go either. I bust their balls for being a litter bug and making other people deal with the trash they have created. It's not a smoking issue, it's a personal responsibility issue.
FYI: A smoker packs cigarettes to condense the tobacco. This reduces the air in the cigarette and makes the cigarette smoke smoother and less harsh.
Re a cigarette butt killing a two-year old who eats it:
1.) I seriously doubt it.
2.) Why would a two-year old be eating a cigarette butt?

Are you aware that ash trays are no longer put in cars? I don't know where they expect smokers to put their butts. I would think they would realize that not everyone chose to quit.
As far as YOU thinking they look stupid, I really doubt that anyone is forcing you to watch.

I once asked a girl why she did that and she said it was to pack the tobacco or something. She's probably dead of lung cancer by now because it was close to 20 years ago.
Same deal with people shaking new Polaroid pictures. It does nothing to speed it up, but it makes the end user look like a bonehead.

I saw that commercial too. The one with the monkey. Tha was funny. I'm sure I look like that when I do it, but what can I say? I don't smoke in my car, so I don't throw them on the road.

OK, i have a question for you. why is it ok to drink but not OK to smoke???? I've never heard of anyone hitting a school bus full of kids and killing them because they were smoking a cig.
and i bet you do drink too. don't you??????and booze breath don't smell to good either.
