She has a steady girlfriend, but I think the attraction to me is a physical admiration thing. It's totally mutual. I just don't want to be the slimy guy who thinks he can "change her". I don't have any desire to change her. I'd just like to physically be with her because we connect so well. Work policy-wise, it's okay because we're on the same level in totally different departments. It's just the breaking the ice part that I'm new with in this area. Any thoughtful advice would be sincerely appreciated!

if you are sure that she are looking your way, and its you that
she wants, then go witrh the flow, and enjoy yourself, while you
think that the time and moment is right?

If she's showing interest in you, she's not a lesbian...she's bisexual. I know a lot of people mistake me for a lesbian because I mainly am attracted to women and rarely men...but I'm bisexual. For me to be attracted to a guy, he'd really have to be something.

Myself, I'd never get involved with someone who already has a partner. Not really a good idea. My advise is just to talk to her, make sure it's mutual and not just wishful thinking. After that you have to decide whether or not you want to have an affair of sorts, after all if she does have a steady girlfriend, she'd be cheating.

You open it just like u would any other woman. But allow me to forewarn you, IF she's a lesbian (which im doubting if she is sexually attracted to you. She sounds bi to me), but IF she's a lesbian, this so called attraction may be something she is only entertaining in her head but doesnt necessarily wish to carry anything out with you. And Secondly, she is in a relationship already. That would be kinda triflin on BOTH of your parts.

Invite her to join you for lunch - and if the admiration continues, keep doing that.

If something can develop after that, then so be it. (Not every relationship has to involve sex).
