Ooo it was a good one:
Sawyer confronted Julia about the recording. She then tells him to turn it over and listen to the other side. On it is Ben' s voice speaking about there impending attack on Sun and any other pregnant women.
Apperantly Julia told Jack after she got back from doing Suns exam that she had been working with Ben. Jack didn't tell anyone because he wasn't sure what they were going to do about it. (seriously wtf Jack!!!!) (We don't really dive to much into this story, they didn't tie Julia up and burn her at the stake or anything....why no one is dragging answers out of this woman kills me)
On the otherside of the island, Ben is pissed because he can't find his tape recorder, just as he begins to ask people for it Locke comes strolling out of the woods with his fathers body. It seems as if Ben suspects Locke took it, but this is never confirmed.
Locke is all over Ben to tell him the secrets of the island. Ben tries to explain that is isn't that simple. Locke is pretty pissy and demands answers. So Ben begins to tell him about a man named Jacob. Jacob is apperently the man behind the curtain, the ruler of it all. But......no one has ever seen or heard him aside from Ben.
Locke smells bullshit and calls Ben out on it. He doesn't think he is real, and threatens to tell 'the others' the same thing. Ben caves and says he will take Locke to him, but he also says that this is not a man you go see, 'he summons you.'
Before, they leave Bens daughter runs up to Locke and gives him a gun saying 'you will need this'. She then turns to her father and says happy birthday. (Oh yeah, it is bens birthday)
When they finally arrive Ben tells Locke to turn off his flashlight because Jacob hates technology. When they enter the cabin Lock doesn't see or hear anyone....it appears empty.
Ben howver is carrying on a conversation with what looks like an empty chair. Locke is convinced that Ben is crazy and tells him so. Ben doesn't seem to mind he just says that it is sad that Locke's mind isn't free enough to see Jacob. Just as Locke is about to leave he hears a deep voice say 'help me' and we see a kind of old looking face. He turns around and asks Ben what he had just said, Ben says that he didn't say anything nor did he hear anything.....so Locke shines the flashlight in his face. Just as this happens all hell breaks loose, chairs are getting thrown and there is a fire, but you never see this Jacob man.
Now during the flashbacks of this episode we learn about Bens life.
Turns out he wasn't born on the island, he was born in the wood in Portland, his mom had went into labor earlier then expected and died while giving birth. The people that helped them when they finally got out to a road worked for the Dharma Initiative and eventually have Bens father a job on the island.
Bens father always blamed Ben for his mothers death, and they didn't get along. One part of not getting along was the fact that he never remembered nor celebrated Bens birthday. While on the island, young ben started seeing his dead mother in the woods (it's pretty creepy). Also as it turns out the dharma initiative people did not get along with the natives of the island, they called them the hostiles. Occasionally they would have gun fights and try to kill eacother or whatnot. So one day young ben leaves the safety of their camp to try and find his mother, he has no fear of these hostiles with guns...either way while he is in the woods screaming 'mom' he meets one of them. Wait?!? What is this? This hostile is a familiar face, it is currently one of the 'others'(I happen to forget his name...he is the one with the eyebrows). Young Ben says he wants to live with them, so the man tells him to be patient.
Flash forward to years later, it is Bens birthday..again. Ben's father suggests they drive up the mountain (in a VW van) and drink some beers...to kind of bond. Ben thinks its a good idea, but apperantly for different reasons. Moments later Ben puts on a gas mask and kills his father with some type of mustard gas, and leaves the van they were in, in the woods. This will be the same van that Hurley, Jin, and Sawyer got to start earlier this season. When he gets back to the camp everyone from the Dharma Initive was dead. The hostiles had killed them all, except for Ben. So 'the others' are actually not part of the dharma initive at all. Appertnly they were natives of the island.
So present day, Ben takes Locke to see the grave sight of all of Bens 'old' people. Ben then shoots Locke in the stomach causing him to fall into the pit. Ben wants Locke to tell him what Jacob said to him, because apperantly Ben didn't hear it. Locke tells him that Jacob said 'help me', Ben then says 'I hope he will help you now' (or something to that effect) and leaves Locke there to die.

you can watch it yourself at abc.com!
they have all the episodes for the entire season...
but...
Locke wants to know everything about the island and Ben tells him that he is not the leader of the island, there is this "person" named Jacob and he lives far away from the entire group. Ben takes him there and it appears to be some kind of a "ghost." Ben talks to the chair and Locke is confused because no one is there. Right when Locke is about to leave the cabin that Jacob "liveS" in, he hears a voice...it said "Help Me." Later as they are walking back, Ben takes Locke to a place where he threw all the people that lived on the island before...they were killed because they did not fit in. Ben shoots Locke in the stomach and the episode ends, Ben is in the same hole that all the dead people are in...
The flash back was about Ben, his mother died right after she had Ben and his father always blamed him for it. His father also never remembered his birthday as he was growing up. Eventually he killed his father and everyone else that was in the same hole as Locke. His father came to the island with Ben because he found it very hard to find a job...
At the camp, everyone finds out that the others are coming to kidnap Sun, and anyone else who may be pregnant. The mystery of the woman with Jack is still a mystery, is she good or bad? Meanwhile, Jack is frustrated because no one trusts him anymore and he proposes that they have some catching up to do....
Next week, there is somewhat of a war that is going to happen. The Others are coming and Jack wants to hit them while they come. Sayid does make some type of a bomb, and Jack seems to be renewing his trust with everyone..

The flashbacks followed Ben, who was not born on the island but was brought to the island as a boy when his father got a job with the Dharma Initiative. Ben's father blamed him for the death of his mother (at his birth), so Ben tried to run away where was befriended by Richard (the man that recruited Juliette) who was one of the "hostiles". Ben helped the hostiles kill all of the Dharma people many years later. The skeleton in the VW bus during the Hurley episode was Ben's father, who he killed personally.
Ben took Locke to meet "Jacob", who supposedly give Ben all of his orders. Jacob was invisible and only Ben could see or him, until Locke tried to leave and things were mysteriously thrown around and Locke heard a voice saying "Help me". Ben then showed Locke the mass grave of the Dharma people and shot Locke in the stomach. Ben seemed threatened that Jacob had communicated with Locke. He left Locke to die on top of the mass grave.
Sawyer and Sayid played the tape of Juliette reporting to Ben to everyone in the camp. But Jack and Juliette arrived and told them to flip the tape. On the other side, Ben was explaining the Others plan to invade the camp. Juliette revealed that she had told Jack everything the night she examined Sun.

Ben shot Locke, he could possibly be dead. It ended like he died, but the fans are hoping he is not gone.
