Obligated? And who is defining what is right?

If it is your personal sense of right and wrong, how can you intentionally do wrong? It is difficult for me to comprehend anyone purposely doing something wrong, other than to be spiteful to one's parents. In those cases, you know you are not doing the right thing and you usually regret the decision later.

If you mean obligation in the sense that you are bound by law (or some other rule), then, yes, you are supposed to follow the law.

The more interesting situations are where your sense of what is right is in contradiction to the law.

Yes.

Explain? Nothing really to explain. Doing right is what provides us with a safe, secure civilization. That said, obligation is one thing. Living up to obligation is a different story. One may be obligated, but that doesn't mean one has to choose to follow through. Some people are selfish. That is why we have wars, crime, and poverty.

No, you're obligated to do what is legal. Whether its right or wrong is another matter entirely.

Ofcourse you are obligated to do what is right, do you purposely want to do what is wrong? We all have to do what is right at least what we think is right.OK?

you have a moral obligation to do what is right if in your heart of hearts you know that you should do something. there are many situations where merely alerting someone more qualified thatn yourself to intervene in a situation is the morally and ethically right thind to do. yes, i think if one knows they can help they should.
