Slow zombies over fast zombies

The agressive, fast-paced modern zombies are more frightening than the shuffle and groan ones. I would have to say I'm a zombie purist, weren't zombies created by drugging people until they appeared dead and then digging them back up later? I don't believe people actually reanimate after they have died. The "spark" is just gone.

I myself am a zombie purist. The slow moving ones were better. I do like the new movie ones and I have to believe that zombies would be relatively mobile. The only zombies that you would see moving around in this day and age would be the reanimated corpses of the recently deceased. There is no way that a zombie would be strong enough to free itself from a coffin let alone tunnel itself through the ground. We wouldn't see the corpses that are all decayed and falling apart. The zombies would be from funeral homes, morgues and recently killed victims so there level of rigor mortis wouldn't be that extreme so they would be fairly mobile

I find the word Zombie quite terrifying. I can't watch Shaun of the Dead. I tried and had to switch it off. But I can watch 28 days later, great film. So I'm all for adrenaline pumped any day.

Anyone seen the floating zombies on The Room, Silent Hill? OOOh, they were horrible.

The "action" zombies of today's films are meant I think to inspire more fear and instant terror rather then the slow, shuffling and unrelenting pace of the zombies of old. I prefer the slow zombies of old as they tend to inspire a much more fear. The idea that no matter where I go this thing will slowly and surely try and kill me and eat me. The old zombies inspire more "hope" in that you can at least out run them, the new actions zombies are meant to say "You can't outrun us, so you HAVE to kill us." To be honest though, 28 Days and now 28 Weeks Later...the "zombies" in that movie aren't the living dead. Merely people infected with "rage" driven into psychotic and homicidal rages..who forego anything (including eating and drinking) in order to kill.

I think that the new zombies are more relentless, as opposed to the old ones, but my favorites are the ones from 28 days later, you got the shock factor and you also get more adrenalin-filled moments. But, the old zombies weren't resting on speed, i mean, if you had one running zombie, you could take care of it, but the old ones hunted in hordes, i mean, why have speed when you can have armies of the undead.

I've always preferred the slow motion zombies. They are easier to run from and fight with. I'd much rather have to deal with the stoned jamaican zombies than the tweeked out meth junkie zombies. I don't want a zombie invasion to be like a video game, or a challenge, I just want to run around beating up zombies.

i think it's better because the old zombies walk so slow it looks like they could just walk right pass them .the new zombies make the movie a lot scarier cause the are so fast and you know it's possible for them to catch the people

I hate zombie films where the zombies can run, talk and function as if they are alive. I like the slow stupid ones...they're much more creepier that way and in my opinion more believable.
