that you foot actually is touching...is it an insole or something.. the part that ususally has the brand name or maby the size of the shoe. I need to get shoes repaired where i have worn them out by rubbing my heel against the shoe. I just dont know what to calll that part of the shoe...lol.....i know im dumb

It's called an insole. Suggestion: find out what they charge to replace the insole, and how much shoe insoles [ ex: Dr. Scholl's ] cost at the drugstore. Then decide.

I believe that is the insole part of the shoe, since the very bottom is the sole of the shoe.
