Jane Fonda made mistakes that actually cost some people their lives and years of brutal suffering in Vietnam. I don't agree with the war in Iraq and I didn't agree with the war in Vietnam. But nothing is black and white, sweetie. The media grabs hold of sensational stories and runs with it. But do a little research into some of the things she did during the period and you would be astonished. Taking a political stand, no matter who you are, should never be at the expense of another human being's physical well being. And for a woman who touts herself to be so very in touch with human nature and humanitarian concerns, I found her behavior to be reprehensible. I don't do much people bashing just for the sake of people bashing. I think that's a waste of energy and time. But I don't pity Jane Fonda. Jane is pretty much getting what she served back at a much less costly price. Freedom of speech and all that, you know what I mean?

No if we had more like her we would be in worse shape than being in hell. You need to talk to people that lived through the Vietnam era and see what they have to say about her or better yet join her little group of betraying her country you siding with her seems the thing to do for you.Why you think she has the name Hanoi Jane ?Now little one go check with some war vets and see what they tell you and come back an let us all know what you find out ok.And yes I lived through the era.

i know this angers you, but people will not "grow up or shut up",
The Jane Fonda conversation is about the same has having a dinner party with a Rabbi, a priest, a minister, a scientologist & the pope,,, you still won't have a rational discussion on religion & you definitley won't reach an agreement or common ground.
Sorry,, but you'll have to deal with it. Many people still hate Hanoi Jane

Because Jan Fonda is traitor.
During the Vietnam War she went to North Vietnam and Denounced the American Soldiers. And called the President a Killer. Never mind that he was in the process of getting the military out of the conflict. And that it was Democratic Presidents who had escalated the conflict to the high numbers of combatants and deaths.
She allowed the enemy to use her for their own propaganda purposes.

I agree. In the words of Don Henley, "get over it." Will _I_ be the same person at 50 that I was at 20??? Hell, NO. We learn from our mistakes, and Jane has admitted that she made mistakes. Do you think we will ever hear such an admission from stubborn, arrogant Dubya?? Be serious.

You have no idea how much damage her presence in North Vietnam did to hurt the US effort to win the Vietnam war! The elitist left-- like her-- are at it again attempting to give aid and comfort to the enemy by showing them the US has a divided agenda about the war. They (the enemy) think they can win while such efforts are being made!
Got it?

She was young, she was naive and she has apologized repeatedly yet still there are people who just can't let it go. It boggles the mind.
