If you believe in evolutionism then it was the egg. If you believe in creationism then it was the chicken.

it has not been proven scientifically whether the chicken or the egg came first. But since Biblical times, the church father have sided with the chicken, they pointed out that according to book of Genesis, God created the creatures, not their reproductive units. On the other side, those who accord priority to the egg believe that a chicken is just an egg's way of making another egg. This is in line with modern-day interpretation of genetics, which sees organisms as the means by which particular sets of genes are assured of their survival. Commonsense reasoning, however, will tell us that neither preceded the other, and that neither could exist without the other. Going beyond the controversy, we reiterate that eggs existed long before chickens did, there is no dispute on this point because eggs are millions of years older than birds. Gallus domesticus, the chickens as we know it more or less, is a scant 4 - 5 thousand years old, and quite a late-corner compared to other domesticated animals such as sheep and goats.

According to evolutionism, there must have been some kind of bird, almost a chicken but with arms or something and this chicken layed an egg with a severely mutated chicken which had wings instead of arms and the wings had survival value so from then on all chickens had wings so the egg came first because the chicken that layed the egg wasn't really a chicken.

Why are you getting paranoid or that kind of question! It was the chicken, the chicken had to be there to lay the egg in the first place!!!

i am going to presume that you mean a chicken egg not just any egg

The egg(of the chicken) came first (if you believe in evolution)
a long time ago there was something smiler to a chicken, some sort of fowl, that laid an egg. that egg was slightly different then this other creature. It was a chicken Then this mutant bred and grew numerous. The other bird eventually died out. the end.

The answer to your very specific question is the egg.
Where the chicken evolved from I cant be bothered to check out, but you could if you really were interested?
The chicken could have evolved from a henapopilus, or some such creature, but for certain the egg was on earth long before a chicken.

What if the Universe IS the chicken, and everytime it lays an egg a star is born?

It depends. If you mean what came first the chicken or the CHICKEN egg, then thats obviously the egg. If however you mean precisely what your question is asking - and I presume you do - than its the chicken.
