This is a pretty big job. What you need to get going is the Windows networking wizard. Set it up using the same settings on both PCs and hopefully everything will go smoothly after that. Are you using the same version or similar versions of windows on both PCs? Because Windows networking has been pretty much the same since Windows 2000, but if you have any windows 9X machines it will be a more manual set up.

If you do not have a router, hub or switch and you are using windows XP, you can do the following.
1. Make sure PC1 has 2 NICs (network interface cards) this way it will connect to the Internet and to PC2.
2. Connect PC1 and PC2 together with a CAT5e cable (patch or crossover will work with news NICs)
3. Right click on the network connection used to connect PCs together on PC1 (local area connection 1..2 ect) and go to properties.
4. Double click on "Internet Protocol TCP/IP".
5. Select "Use the following IP address"
IP address - 192.168.*.* (* means whatever you want)
subnet mask - 255.255.255.0
default gateway - same as IP
do nothing for the dns since you are not a dns server.
6. Follow steps 3,4,5 with PC2 changing the IP by 1 ( ie ..PC1 - 192.168.0.1 ...PC2 - 192.168.0.2)
Turn on Internet sharing on the PC with the 2NICs and you should be able to browse on both.
It worked here for me.
Good luck.... hope I helped....

Get a Router and connect the two PC's through RJ-45 Cable known as the Cat5e cable.
Connect one end of the cable to the PC and the other end to the Router.
Connect your Phone line (RJ-11) to the Routers RJ-11 port.
Open the Home Page of the Router. The Home Page address would be printed on the booklet.
Confiigure the router according to the specifications of the booklet.
Complete your configuration and you are done

Are you trying to set up a network between two computers
Or
Are you trying to get to computers to both talk to the Internet.
The phrase "Internet Network" is not commonly used, so not sure what you mean. The Internet and a network are two different things.
More detail please...

If you're only trying to get the computers networked together, all you need to do is put network cards in both, connect them with a Cat-5e "cross-over" cable, and run the network setup wizard.
