Isn't it funny when you tell someone a particular song you like, and they say you have 'no taste in music', surely if you have no taste in music, you don't appreciate any music.

you're so right.
taste is a personal thing, just because they don't like the same music as you, it does not give them the right to diss your preference.
if i had a pound for every time i've heard that phrase i'd be a rich rich woman!
nowhere is it cast in stone that we all have to like the same music, food, clothes etc etc.

i like Zappa, System of a Down & Motorhead
i don't much care that others do not, they better keep their opinion to themselves!

I don't know about any of that, I think it depends on your own taste particularly. I don't listen to Rap Music and very little Country, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the music I'm interested in.

Here, here I agree with you 100%, we can't all like the same type of music can we, I love a wide range of music and chill out by listening to opera and people tell me I have absolutely no taste in music, how sad they are by sticking to one type and never having a vast knowledge of it hey.

Every one has their own definition of what is good music. I think I have great taste in music, others might think not, that's their opinion. Doesn't me I don't appreciate it.

Well everybody has a different taste when it comes to what types of music that they like. Just like everything in life different people like different things. I wouldn't pay too much mind to it at all. Just go on listening to what you like. If they don't like it then they can always leave.

back interior the late 90s I dated a good looking woman from Vermont who became into united states of america track. I figured, a number of it i will cope with (e.g. Johnny funds), so i'm going to objective going into it with an open innovations. properly, a minimum of unlocked, haha. She enjoyed lots of the Nashville "hat acts" who have been usual on the time (Travis Tritt, Garth Brooks, advert nauseam. I mean et al). Then she attended some form of fan-convention down there, of project to fulfill the enormous stars on the particularly some distinctive record labels. the end result became that she became much extra into each and all of the hat acts. Oh, it have been given to be horribly insufferable. Then she broke up our relationship, and it became like i ought to relish my track back!

That's always funny!

I don't like the Beatles or David Bowie, so I get that. But even bad taste is still taste.

i believe everyone has "taste in music", but generally if I make a statement like that it's "you have no good taste when it comes to music".

Me I have no taste whatsoever. I either like or don't like a piece of music. I don't care who it's by or how old it may be. The very concept of musical 'taste' is thinly veiled snobbery. ;-)
