San Jose , Ca. Gas is at $4.69 a gallon last I checked. Sadly it goes up every week. And that price is for the regular gas.

Currently the price per gallon in Safford, AZ is $2.99 a gallon. This is misleading though because the taxes you pay yearly also help obtain this gasoline. So if you figure out the amount of tax you place into this you are already paying 5 dollars a gallon or more. The US Government just hides this charge in taxes.

It's very unlikely that gas will reach $4+ a gallon, let alone $5.
I'm in Northern California & a gallon will set you back $3.50/$3.60.
