I heard that gas prices are expected to shoot up to $5+ per gallon?! I am wondering what the highest prices are ALREADY...want to prepare myself for what may become of these ridiculous prices!

San Jose , Ca. Gas is at $4.69 a gallon last I checked. Sadly it goes up every week. And that price is for the regular gas.

Currently the price per gallon in Safford, AZ is $2.99 a gallon. This is misleading though because the taxes you pay yearly also help obtain this gasoline. So if you figure out the amount of tax you place into this you are already paying 5 dollars a gallon or more. The US Government just hides this charge in taxes.

Albany New York , $3.11 .9 per gallon regular unleaded , and what is up with the nine tenths of a penny , we are getting ripped off enough either round it up or round it down to an even penny :))

New sweetness, Last week in Kioto Japan 93 unleaded was $1.27 per liter which is equal to 1.0567 quarts.

In Watkins Glen NY. 87 octane is $3.20 per gal.

It's very unlikely that gas will reach $4+ a gallon, let alone $5.

I'm in Northern California & a gallon will set you back $3.50/$3.60.

Approximately $5.00 US for a US gallon equivalent in Nova Scotia. (Different tax structure of course. $1.17CDN /litre today)
