Yes...no words can express how much I love and appreciate all that they have done for me. They made me the person I am today.
Even though those words are hard to say, do it before it's too late.

I tell my Mom I love her a lot, not constantly but like when we are fixing to hang up the phone or something. I do have a hard time telling my Grandmother though, and we are closer than my Mom and I.. Its just something we don't say to often.

Learning to say things you find hard (like "I love you" and "No" - for some people) is a part of growing up. I have a sign on my fridge that says

"Speak your mind - even if your voice shakes."

I think it's good advice for all of us. Force yourself to be honest with your parents and tell them you love them. They may not be around as long as you think.

Good luck! :)

i had a hard time growing up. so it's hard expressing those feelings for my BIRTH parents. however, i don't know my dad...so that doesn't matter, but i have a lot of compassion for my bio-mom.

i express my love to others around me, my adoptive parents, son, hubby etc.

i hope one day i will be able to express "love" to my bio-mom.

Nope and I'm glad it's not hard because my mom died a couple of weeks ago and I told her I loved her just a couple of hours before she died and that helped me tremendously after she died.

It's so strange isn't it? ... It is so easy to say I love you to a boyfriend or a friend but hard to say it to your parents!

Not for me, my parents and I haven't always agreed on everything, but I'm really glad they are my parents.
