Sweetie, why can't you wear a tampon? That really is the easiest solution.

Wearing a pad isn't an option...it will only absorb lots of water and be terribly uncomfortable and noticeable too!

If your flow is very light you could probably get away without wearing anything.... but if you flow heavily then you'll just to forgo the swimming unless you wear a tampon.

An alternative that a tampon company investigated was an 'external' tampon. It was not inserted, but looked like a tampon placed 'in the groove'. Your outer lips hold it in place.

You might experiment wearing one that way in regular clothing (with a pad back-up in case it doesn't work); and then in the tub or shower to see if you leak. Snug fitting swimsuit bottoms would probably hold everything in place the best.

A pad is not an option, you'll just soak up pool water and the pad won't absorb anything else.

It's unfortunate, but you will have to let it pass before you can go swimming. Pads will fall about in the water and cause you a lot of embarrassment. If you go WITHOUT one, then you will be making a mess in the water which is not only embarrassing for you, but unhealthy for everyone else.

Maybe your family will be so kind as to postpone the swimming trip until later.

Mother nature can be cruel sometimes, but be happy that your body is doing what it is supposed to. Good luck!

sure you can use a pad if you want it to double as a floatation device. You should never ever were pad when you go swimming it can lose it's adhesiveness and become detached and that would be unsanitary for the people that are sharing the pool with you and an embarrassment to you. So just stay out of the pool and maybe just look on from a pool chair.

Tough, you can't go swimming until your period is over.
Ask you doctor if you can switch to unbleached, natural tampons. Most tampons are bleached to give them that "pure white" look, but many women have a bad reaction to those cleansing chemicals, and can get Toxic Shock Syndrome, a very scary and lethal condition. So some alternative companies make tampons of unbleached cotton that are much safer (if not as aestheically appealing).

They make this other thing thats kind of like a bag with a rubber ring you use instead of a pad or tampon, you may be able to use those. I'm not sure what the'yre called, I'm so sorry. However I also heard about the product called a 'keeper', you might want to check those out.

You either use a tampon or not go swimming.

Simple as that.

You CAN'T use a pad while swimming, you might as not use anything at all then! And even then, you'd have a bloody mess with your flow running down your leg.

NASTY.

well if you want to leave a trail of blood behind you in the pool, go swimming. I think you should just put off going swimming, coz you can't exactly wear a pad.. for obvious reasons.

no. you cannot wear a pad in the pool. if you can't put on a tampon...then you just might have to stick your feet in the water or something like that. because i don't know what other explanation to give you with this one.
