People always ask for rough time so I think of a silly question why time couldn't be smooth and why must always be rough :)

I think our brains are wired in a really odd way.
For some reason, most people easily remember every bad thing that has ever happened to them but if you ask people to list all the good things that have happened to them, they can't remember.
Our brains seem to hold onto negative images better than the positive ones.
I'm guessing that pain has a more memorable effect.
Since everyone shares a lot of pain in their life(because life is hard), it's easy for everyone to relate to it. I think that's why so many people ask questions about unpleasant things.
They know others will automaticly feel a bonding with that person. It makes us feel that we are not alone. That others feel like we do.
It is a good point that you make. I have wondered the same thing. Why don't more people start off a conversation by asking, "Don't you just love it when....?" Instead of, "Don't you just hate it when....?"
Most people say "I don't like......." several times a week.
I find it a little sad but mostly interesting that you rarely hear people commenting, "I just love......."
I think it is our own fault that things go badly. We are flawed and have a propensity to screw things up, making life harder than it should already be.
If we could focus more on all the good things that have happened to us instead of the bad, we would realize that our lives are not as bad as we perceive.
We are hilariously funny creatures.

Its all in how you take in life. What is rough to one person may not be for another. I know what you mean though, things seem to get nice for awhile and then something always gotta happen to turn things upside down. In life I guess it seems some people always get the short end of the stick. Keep a smile no matter what and be happy for the good things and remember as long as your healthy, food on the table a roof over your head and everything will always fall back in place.

i don't get it.........oooh nvm well times are rough... but sometimes people say things like, well everything's running smoothly... so yeah it depends on how you want to look at things too.
