2 - To keep countries and people favoring the West rather than the Soviets/Communists

B and C are right. However to explain better the aim were: 1) Humanitarian sending food for people relief 2) Economical : both stabilizing the western economies, and helping the USA export. 3) Political, Helping newly born democracy and also old ones (Italy, Western Germany, France) to recover from the war and to get stronger, and also to become allied to USA against Comunist expansionism. A good way to export democracy, we could say.
