Josh...you didn't answer any of the questions I posed. Maybe because it's the truth and the only defense you have is to call people names.

They are against the concept of a never-ending occupation of Iraq. However they realize that we do need to fund our troops regardless of how unpopular the occupation is.

Get a clue.

If the troops are going to be left there, they need to be funded. Congress cannot force the President to bring the troops home, they can just control the funding. Give me a break, the dems are doing what they can, but they're not going to leave the lives of out soldiers at risk!

Say we did cut funding, you'd be in here ranting about how the dems hate the troops, and they're anti-America and want the terrorists to win, blah, blah, blah...

DC runs primarily on politics, not necessarily principle.

It would be foolish to completely defund the troops and Dems know that. If money is running out in the next few months and they had no money, there wouldn't even be enough money to pull them out.

The Dems want what most reasonable people want-- explicit conditions and progress to pull out the troops in a reasonable amount of time. The president simply wants an open check-book to continue ops in Iraq. He says we have made progress, but we haven't on the last front (stable Iraq).

They know it would be insane to pull all of the troops out quickly, and they don't want anyone saying they don't support the troops. Like it or not this war will be going on for a while.

Oh, and the Republicans would "NEVER" do anything like that would they? It is a game they all play in Washington. What did you expect? I don't know about liberals but as a Democrat my party is doing just fine, thank you very much.

Politicians? Put politics ahead of principle?

I am shocked. Shocked...

... that someone would have to ask that question.

Sounds to me like you want to put politics on front...

You're either terribly stupid or just spinning things to your liking.

Maybe a combination of the two?
