For me the a/c is a last resort. If I'm already down to a t-shirt and shorts, I'll start opening windows. Then, I'll start putting fans on. Turn off lights, drink cold stuff, maybe even take an ice-cold shower (crank the cold knob, leave the hot knob off).
If all that fails and it's STILL unberable...then yeah, I'll turn the a/c on.

sit and sweat. For real if my electric bill is already 200$/month on a 2 bdroom apartment and it isn't technically summer yet (i hate texas weather) i don't even want to see what the bill looks like if i do turn the a/c on. Yikes!

If I'm sweating I'll turn it on but I rarely have the AC on... I LOVE being nice and warm... and I live on a sub-tropical island... comparable to Florida's weather! I hate being cold - I grew up in Minnesota... I'll take all the heat I can get!!!
