I got married at 19 against my parents wishes. I wish I would have listened to them. Our marriage failed and he is my sons father and a huge jerk.

Sometimes parents know what they are talking about.

i think advice is good,and your parents probably have a valid reason.however when you are 18 you are an adult and can make decisions on your own legally,if the love is real go for it.but - i would suggest a long engagement.or even living together,unless you are oober christian.marriage is a big step and should be treated as such - divorce is a b****.

I would ask myself why may parents are so against it. They know a lot more about life than you. Take their advise into serious consideration; do you want to sever ties with your parents over something that may or may not last?
