Israel wants Palestine to recognize them as a country yet they continue to occupy Palestine, murder, bulldoze homes and steal more land to build Jewish settlements. How do they expect to be recognized? Israel is a terrorist state funded buy the USA at a rate of 3-4 billion per year for a country of 7 million
check out the facts:
In 1947 Under considerable pressure from high-placed American Zionists, the UN decided to give away 55 percent of Palestine to a Jewish state — despite the fact that this group represented only about 30 percent of the total population, and owned under 7 percent of the land.
By the end of the 1948 war the Jewish state — having now declared itself "Israel" — had conquered 78 percent of Palestine
And three-quarters of a million Palestinians had been made refugees. Over 400 towns and villages had been destroyed, and a new map was being drawn up, in which every city, river and hillock would receive a new, Hebrew name. All vestiges of the Palestinian culture were to be erased. In fact, for many decades Israel — and the US, following its lead — denied the very existence of this population. Golda Meir once said, in fact: "There is no such thing as a Palestinian."

Israel torturing Palestinian child prisoners 4/13/2007 9:30:00 AM GMT
The Palestinians’ suffering at the hands of the Israelis is worse than in any other part of the world. Many of the Palestinian detainees are children, who are subjected to physical and psychological torture by Israeli interrogators and prison guards.
--------------------------------
Israeli crimes against the Palestinians are being committed on a daily basis before the eyes of the world. If a day passes with no civilian casualties, then you will certainly hear about homes being demolished, farms bulldozed, fields torched, or a new colony being planned for construction on stolen Arab land.
On Friday 11 May, Israeli occupation forces torched hundreds of hectares of harvest-ready fields in several parts of the occupied West Bank.
“The Israeli government must choose between settlements and peace. They can not have both,” Palestinian chief negotiator said.

Israel is trying to survive being surrounded by hostile governments. They are the only democracy and provide the most freedoms for their people. They allow Arabs to live there, while Arab states do not allow Jews. Although the Israelis have not been perfect, they don't sponsor terrorism, don't target innocent civilians, and have mostly been defenders and not aggressors. The Jews have capitulated and gave the West Bank over with the hopes that the Palestinians would stop terrorism, but the Palestinians don't want land. They want the genocide of Jews, while Jews just want to be left alone.
Others may disagree, but that's how I see it.

Israel is trying to survive in a hostile environment. The Arabs are not giving up. I am afraid that neither side forgives easily. "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth". War is always bad and innocent people get killed. But Arab extremists have no regard for anyone innocent whatsoever. It would take great restraint on both sides to end this conflict.

Israel is only guilty of listening to others in the past. They should have kicked Palestine out long ago.

YES! They are both guilty of using violence against civilians; this contravines international laws. This is well documented by human rights groups. The following are some concerns:
--political prisoners
--land confiscation
--terrorism by both sides.
