I have very light fine hairs above my lip and decided to use the Nair facial cream yesterday. I'm scared my hair is going to grow back all spikey and dark and I'm going to look like Clint Eastwood or something. Will it grow back to look the same?
Have I permanantly ruined my hair and will have to wax forever more? Help!

let's clear something up first off, no matter what hair removal technique you use, be it nair, waxing, shaving, your hair will not grow back thicker or darker. That is a complete myth, started by who knows. see attached articles refuting this. The only way that your hair would grow back thicker or darker is if there is something wrong with your hair follicule.

That said, your hair, any hair on your body is tapered. It grows thick at the base under your skin and then once above the skin, tapers to a fine point. When you cut it, you are making the tip blunt and there for giving the illusion of being darker and thicker.

you cannot ruin your hair, it is already dead skin cells. it will look the same as it did before.

And if this myth were in fact true, all men who are going bald, should immediately begin shaving their heads so that they may promote hair growth.

I use Nair on my upper lip when I don't have the time or the cash to run the the beauty parlor. It will only grow in heavier if you shave it. However I have noticed that it grew in slightly darker....but that may be my own paranoia.
Nothing drastic is going to happen to your lip hair. Just becareful you don't get a Nair burn!
But I would adivse spending $7 every four weeks to get it waxed.
