Yes; under the Sale of Goods Act 1892, all items sold should be of "merchantable quality" ie. fit for purpose. You should be able to choose refund or replacement - it's up to you (not the retailer).

If you like the shoes I would get a replacement because Clarks shoes are usually of a really good quality. I had to take a pair of my daughters back once and I did not have a receipt but they changed them without a problem.

If you found the shoes comfortable and you liked them get a replacement. They are very good with returned goods.

It might just be a faulty shoe and not something to do with the brand. Clarks are pretty good for quality shoes.

depend if u wear the shoe load of time, the sole will spilt but i think should take it back becuase you have just brought them.. sometime if it a cheap pair, might will give you damage some( not alway)
If you want different brand .. maybe Office would do but can be expensive sometimes. I think it would be best if you decise what shoe made you comfort! and wearable.. without sole spilt

I always buy Clarks shoes due to my sons feet being SOOOOO wide I have never had a problem with them and I don`t think that you can get better quality. If I was in your position I would get a replacement.

Goods that you buy must be fit for the purpose they were purchased for. I would ask for a full refund.

damn right you should. Drag out the receipt and demand a refund, no matter what. Don't go out of that shop without a refund!
